Cute Kid Contest 2015!

Got a cute kid? Of course you have!

But is yours cute enough to win an amazing prize?

Over the summer holidays we'll be holding mini photo sessions and if your kid wins they'll get a full photoshoot and HUGE 34"x22" canvas of your favourite image plus TEN HUGE 12"x8" prints.

The total prize is worth £300!

The competition is open to kids of all ages up to 10 years.

Entry is just £10 and INCLUDES a HUGE 12"x8" photo from the mini session.

The rules!

Yeah, we know they're boring, but please read them!

Children must be 10 or under as of 30th September 2015.

Previous winners cannot enter.

The prize photo session must take place by 31st October 2015. The prize is a 1 hour photo session in the studio including a 34"x22" canvas wrap of a picture from the session chosen by the child's guardian plus ten additional images as 12"x8" prints. No other alternative prize will be offered.

Winners agree to the images taken during the session being used by the studio for promotional purposes.
Entrants will be placed on the Loud and Flashy Facebook page and the three with the most 'likes' will be put through to the final with the winner being picked by an independent judge.
The mini sessions will be held between 14th July and 14th September, with the winner being picked on the 30th September.
We will endeavour to load your photos into the competition album as soon as possible after your mini session, however, we don't live on facebook and we do have a business to run and family to look after so please be patient!
Loud and Flashy cannot be held responsible for:
 any loss of data (images, votes etc) due to actions by facebook.
 any comments posted in competition threads by the public (any derogatory remarks we are aware of will be removed).
 the privacy of your images - the competition album is viewable by the public.
We reserve the right to amend these rules at any time to ensure a fair and fun competition for all!

We're sorry we've neglected the blog!

We've just been so busy and the time has flown by!

Between commercial shoots for handbags, newborn baby photography, family shoots, model portfolios, pet portraits and lighting and photography classes in the studio; we've not had a minute to update this!

So, what's coming up and what's new at the studio?

First, as we've become so busy, we have a new photographer joining the studio!
Amanda will be shooting all the different types of photography we do and specialising in boudoir!

Check out some of her work, she's amazing! (click on the images to see them larger).

Simon will also still be shooting and overseeing everything we do!

Today he was shooting a portfolio for a local model, here's a sneak preview

So if you'd like a boudoir or makeover shoot, you know who to call!  We have great value packages and guarantee you'll look and feel amazing!

If you're looking for a family portrait, look no further!

This is the biggest part or our business and we know how to get the best out of your family.  But unlike other studios, you won't get a shock at the price!

Our sessions include the largest framed photo you'll find at any studio in the north east included within the sitting fee. 

And we won't then charge you silly money for additional images, check out our full price list on our website - Loud and Flashy - most studios don't publish their prices for fear of scaring customers away! They prefer to take the images first and then pressure you in to buying them.  At Loud and Flashy we believe you should know from the outset what you're likely to spend!

Remember, we also have an amazing offer for larger family groups - just £75 for a photo session and EVERYONE in the session gets their own 12"x8" copy of the group shot.  This is a great way to make sure the younger generation have a treasured memory of their family members.

And this is a great time to remind you to back up your own photos!  It's the easiest it's ever been to take photos of your loved one with most people having cameras on their phones and tablets, but unlike the old days, few people actually have real prints of the images.  If you lose or break your mobile, would you lose a whole lifetime of memories?  Don't take the risk, go and back them up now!

Finally ( for this catch up) we have some spaces available on Saturday 27th June on our group shoot with Tessa Grave. She's an amazing model and any photographers that would like to add her to their portfolio can do so for just £35!  There are two sessions on Saturday - 10am-2pm and 2:30-6:30pm, each for just six photographers. Refreshments included!

Something different in the studio!

It's been a  struggle to find one, but we've finally done it!

Thinking about it, it would have probably been easier to find a Unicorn to take photos of in the studio!

So what is it?

A male art nude model.

We have no problems finding female models for our workshops, but males are proving elusive and shy!!

However, Matt Stobbs will be in the studio on Sunday 19th July, from 10am-2pm for a group of six photographers and there is just ONE place left.

If you'd like to attend and get some great images for your portfolio get in touch!

The cost is just £35 including refreshments.

This shoot is ideal for all levels of photographic ability - Simon will be able to give advice and help with lighting and camera settings.

Group Shoots

At Loud and Flashy photography studio in Ashington we hold regular group shoots and model days.  If you're unfamiliar with these, it's a chance for photographers to practice their skills and add to their portfolios.

We get a wide range of models in for these days with many different looks. Yesterday we had a popular model come over from Carlisle who goes by the name Kitty Quinzell!

She brought a huge range of different outfits including lots of latex creations. inspired by these we used a projector to create various backgrounds that also projected on to the model for some interesting results.

Senior Portraits
