Prices!

We had a little staff trip to another photography studio today!  It's always nice to see what the competition are up to, however, we were a little bit disappointed!

The frames in their window resembled clip frames you'd buy in Ikea!  Not that there's anything wrong with Ikea clip frames, it's just that knowing how much this studio charges for them I'd want a more substantial frame for the money!

However, inside their studio was even more disappointing!!

They had a panoramic frame with three images which was more the standard of frame you'd expect from a studio. But when I asked how much it would be they replied 'it's been made to a customer's specifications and we can't really give a price'! They went on to say 'photo sessions are free and you just pay for the pictures you want'.   However, they don't have a price list you can look at!!

Now is it just me or does this seem an extremely odd way of selling something?  You wouldn't go to a supermarket and load your trolley with goods you didn't know the price of!

Here at Loud and Flashy photography we have a price list that we give to anyone that comes in to enquire about what we do!  We do this because we're not embarrassed by it, the prices are sensible and the products such as frames and canvases are the best you can get at any studio in the country!

We're also happy to sell loose prints for you to frame yourself and have no minimum order value!
