To make sure we don't have an unfair situation where people with more Facebook 'friends' can swing the vote we'll be using an independent judge for the top prize.  However, there will still be some other prizes that will be influenced by public voting.

So, how do you enter?

Book your little one in for a photo session at the Loud and Flashy studio between now and the end of February. 

A 20 minute session will cost just £5 and includes a professionally printed 12"x8" photo of your choice which will be the image entered in to the competition.

The photos will also be added to the competition album on face book where you can get your friends and family to vote for a chance to win one of our fantastic runner up prizes.

At the start of March we will get an independent judge to choose the winner from all the entrants, regardless of public votes received, who will receive:

1 hour photo session at the Loud and Flashy studio in Pegswood, Morpeth.

A 34"x22" canvas wrap of their chosen image

from the session.

Ten 12"x8" photos of their choice from the session.

Total package worth £255!

Rules. By entering the competition you agree to be bound by these rules.

Children must be under the age of 5 as of 28th February 2013

The winning prize photo session must take place by 31st March 2013. The prize is as stated above. No other alternative prize will be offered.

Entrants agree to the images taken during the sessions being used by the studio for promotional purposes.

Public voting for the runner up prizes is by way of 'liking' the pictures in the competition album on the studio Facebook page. The pictures with the most 'likes' when the competition closes will be the runner up prize winners.

Sessions for entering the competition must be taken by 28th February 2013 

We will endeavour to load your photos into the competition album as soon as possible after taking them, however, we don't live on Facebook and we do have a business to run and family to look after so please be patient!

Loud and Flashy cannot be held responsible for:

any loss of data (images, votes etc) due to actions by Facebook.

any comments posted in competition threads by the public (any derogatory remarks we are                                                   aware of will be removed).

the privacy of your images - the competition album is viewable by the public.

We reserve the right to amend these rules at any time to ensure a fair and fun competition for all!

Model Portfolio Update

We had Carla in the Loud and Flashy photographic studio this week as she was wanting to update her modelling portfolio.

While her existing portfolio is great, it was getting a little out of date so we worked on replacing some of it.

It's Christmas!

The studio became very festive today! The Christmas tree went up and carols were playing.

Well, it's nearly Christmas and it's time to start the Christmas portrait shoots.

Pawtraits!

We've had a busy time with some interesting family members in the studio recently!

We don't just photograph babies of the two legged type, four legged ones are just as welcome!

Recently on Facebook I asked

One of the suggestions was that our photographic customers could get smaller digital versions of their pictures for use on the web and digital photoframes.

Pop Star Birthday Parties

What better way to celebrate a birthday than a day being treated like a pop star?

As the children arrive they are greeted with champagne (it’s a fizzy fruit drink in a champagne style bottle that goes pop nicely!) and are then introduced to our make-up artist. 

The makeover consists of our qualified make-up artist applying child friendly make-up and glitter along with accessories such as hair pieces, scarves, costume jewellery etc. 

They are then photographed as a group and in various individual and smaller group poses using guitars etc. as props. If they want to, there is also a small sports car they can pose with!

Once the photo shoot is complete and after a vocal warm up session, they go into the recording studio to record the two songs of their choice; they will have been sent a CD of the backing tracks along with lyrics a couple of weeks before. While they are recording we take some more photos of them singing into the mic and sitting at the desk ‘mixing’ the song. 

To keep the atmosphere going there will be music playing all the time, as well as some simple Pop Star themed games to keep them amused while other things are happening (i.e. during the makeover). 

We can also provide a simple buffet if you wish for a nominal cost per head or you are welcome to bring your own food. 

The whole experience lasts 3-4 hours and about two weeks after the party you receive enough copies of the group photo and CD for each person that attended. The other photos taken are digitally retouched and put on a password protected website for people to order (print prices are £5 for a 7”x5” & £10 for a 10”x8”, other sizes, framing and montages can all be quoted for). 

The cost for the photo and recording party is:

 1-10 children £200, up to15 children £250, up to 20 children £300.

Pop Video Experience. 

The ultimate party! This gives you all of the above AND your chance to star in your own pop video. Our cameraman will film you as you lip sync to your chosen song in our visual studio, as well as capturing your takes in the vocal booth. This will then be edited and some special effects thrown in and delivered to you as a DVD.

The cost for the complete photo shoot, recording session and pop video is £499

(any number of children to a maximum of 20).

We require a deposit of 50% to secure a date, with the balance payable on the day.
